What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They can be used for things like remembering your preferences, keeping you signed in, or tracking your activity across sites for advertising purposes.
Cookies we use today
As of the "Last updated" date above, vogentlabs.com does not set any advertising or marketing cookies, and it does not use any third-party tracking scripts. We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand aggregate traffic to the Site — it works without setting any cookies on your browser and does not track you across other websites. Our hosting provider, Vercel, and email provider, Resend, may also process standard request-level technical data (such as IP address) as part of delivering the Site and the contact form — this is infrastructure-level logging, not a cookie placed in your browser.
Types of cookies, explained
For transparency, here's what each common category means and how it would apply if we add it in the future:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for a site to function (e.g., security, load balancing). We don't currently set any on this Site.
- Analytics/performance cookies — help understand how visitors use a site (e.g., Google Analytics). We use Vercel Analytics instead, which achieves this without setting cookies — see "Cookies we use today" above.
- Marketing/advertising cookies — used to track visitors across sites for ad targeting. Not currently in use here.
Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social media widgets, or embedded video players on this Site that would set their own cookies. The one external link we include (our LinkedIn company page) opens in a new tab and is governed by LinkedIn's own cookie practices, not ours.
Managing cookies
Because this Site doesn't set non-essential cookies, there's nothing to opt out of today — Vercel Analytics works without them. If that changes — for example, if we add a cookie-based tool in the future — we will update this policy first and provide a way to control your preference at that time. In the meantime, your browser settings let you block or delete cookies from any site at any time.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page and its "Last updated" date whenever our cookie usage changes, so it always reflects what the Site actually does.
